Yum-2

Yum is a recipe collection manager for organising your own recipe collection (although it does include an example recipe collection). Features include:

• Indexing by category – each recipe can belong to any number of user-defined categories.
• Several printing options with customisable page layout.
• Recipe text can be fully formatted including fonts, styles, paragraph settings.
• Graphics can be included (copy/paste, or drag/drop) within the recipe text.
• Recipes can be imported from MasterCook export files, or from other Yum files, and can be exported to Yum files or to text files.
• Recipe email function (uses your default email application).

What’s new:

Version 2.6:

• Emailing recipes from within Yum now attaches a new Yum export file (including the selected recipes) to the email message (in addition to including the text of the recipes in the message body). NB: This feature ONLY works if using Apples ‘Mail.app’ as the default email application. A new setting in Preferences allows users to disable the attaching of Yum files and revert to sending text only.
• Can now drag-and-drop Yum (or XML) files from the Finder onto a Yum document window to import them into that window’s recipe collection.
• Delete/Backspace key now deletes selected recipe(s) or categories (pending confirmation).
• Horizontal scroller now appears when necessary in ingredients table. Vertical scroller now disappears when unnecessary.
• Corrected TAB and RETURN behaviour in the ingredients table. RETURN edits first cell of next row, and TAB edits next cell (including first cell of next row if already in last cell). New ingredient rows are created as necessary when on last row.
• The superfluous blank ingredient at the end of the list is no longer created when editing the last ingredient in the list.
• Invalid entries in ‘Total Time’ field can now be discarded correctly (reverts to most recent valid entry).
• Deleting content of ‘Total Time’ field now works correctly.
• Invalid ‘Total Time’ alert now displays examples of accepted formats.
• UI now indicates that ‘Rating’ field is out of 5.
• Set more reasonable minimum widths for ingredients table columns.
• Import name clash detection is now case insensitive.
