Power Fractal is a numerically-intensive parallel graphics application that computes a Mandelbrot-like fractal and displays processor performance statistics. This app uses the AltiVec, SSE, and multiple processors (MP) for its computations and uses UCLA AppleSeed’s MacMPI library for communication between parallel processors. To run it on a Mac cluster, use Pooch. This code will also compute correctly on single processor machines and non-G4’s.
