Macspice Logo-3

Macspice-3

MacSpice 3f5… Circuit simulation is a way of building and testing virtual models of electronic devices. It is usually cheaper and quicker to simulate a design than to build a prototype. MacSpice, like most circuit simulators, requires a text-file description of the circuit as input. This netlist is a list of components and the nodes they connect to. Users may prepare netlists with a text editor, or derive them from a circuit diagram using a third-party schematic-capture application. MacSpice then builds a numerical model of the circuit and analyses this.
A command interpreter (shell) is used to specify the types of analyses that are required and how the results should be processed, saved or displayed. The high quality of the MacSpice command interpreter makes the automation of tasks straightforward.
MacSpice has native support for both PowerPC and Intel architecture Apple Macintosh computers. It is derived from, and compatible with, Berkeley Spice 3f5. MacSpice incorporates many improvements to Spice 3f5 - from simple bug-fixes to entirely new commands, algorithms and solution strategies. For example: the memory leaks that affected Spice 3f4 have been cured; new algorithms have been developed to facilitate the simulation of large circuits, and to reduce simulation time; MacSpice provides a robust multi-parameter optimizer and facilities for inter-process communication with other applications.

Pmix Logo

Pmix

pMix (short for preset mixer) is a new composition and performance tool that facilitates the control of multiple plugin parameters using an intuitive graphical interface. pMix hosts four plugins and lets you interpolate between presets by navigating a 2D visual environment. Presets are represented by coloured balls that are positioned on a plane. The size of each ball and its proximity to the cursor affects the weight of the associated preset in the interpolation. pMix is easy to use and has some fun features such as automation, real time visual feedback and randomisation.

Raaviewer Logo-2

Raaviewer-2

RAAViewer allows viewing of labeled images of human anatomy. The labels are linked to a database that offers in-depth descriptions of the parts of anatomy. An image or series of images is stored in a folder and then accessed by the program. The user can download as many of these folders of images as desired and then access them using their own personal computer.
You might want to first download the manual, which is relatively small, to get a better understanding of the program.
A Cross-Section Anatomy. The program is bundled with a basic set of axial illustrations of the human body published in Eycleshymer’s
Over time, additional sets of images will be labeled and posted to this web site. Currently there is only one meager such set with only one image: Teeth Numbering on CT. This is mostly just a proof of concept.

4Peaks Logo
4Peaks
4Peaks is a program that helps molecular biologists to visualize and edit their DNA sequence files. At last there is a decent solution for analyzing trace files on the Mac OS X platform, taking another step away from slow and non-native programs from the Mac OS 9 period. Also, 4Peaks supports most commonly used sequence file formats right out of the box, you no longer have to convert them first using AppleScripts or other painstaking methods.
Key features:

• Reading and writing of most common trace file formats, including ABI, SCF, CTR, ALF and ZTR.
• Direct access to both sequence and translation.
• Ability to edit and correct the sequence. Keep interesting parts only, or export your data as text or FASTA files.
• Quickly search for a sequence or translation, navigate through your file by selecting pieces of either sequence or translation.
• And much much more…

Medinria Logo

MedINRIA allows for a wide range of processing of magnetic resonance (MR) data: MRI, functional MRI (fMRI), diffusion tensor MRI (DT-MRI), etc., with interactive and intuitive manipulation of 3D objects. MedINRIA is intended to be used by medical experts, whatever their specialty is. It has a modular structure, where each module is independent and provides tools for a specific application like: image visualization, DT-MRI processing and tractography, diffusion tensor visualization, manual delineation of lesions in multiple sclerosis, and much more to come!
MedINRIA’s spirit is not to concurrence
OsiriX, but to provide extra functionalities matching some of clinicians needs. It will keep including algorithms developed by the Asclepios research team at the INRIA, so that users can rapidly use the fruits of an active research field, without waiting for an industry to include these in a product. It is intended to remain free, be frequently updated to add new functionalities, and interact with users for improvements.
