iJailBreak is the first automated iPod Touch jailbreaking application designed for the Mac, written by a 13 year old! iJailBreak now works on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
iJailBreak is heavily dependent on Niacin and Dre’s awesome tiff hack, you can find them at http://toc2rta.com/. They really started the whole iPod Touch hacking scene. iJailBreak also makes heavy use of iPhuc, which you can find at http://code.google.com/p/iphuc/.

iType is a collection of letter and number titled audio files that you can use to create “notes” on your iPod, using the Playlist-on-the-go feature. Each audio file is 100ms long (less than a second) and is .01Hz (a frequency that humans can’t hear) so it will not interrupt your shuffle function. To create a new “note”, simply add a letter/number to the POTG playlist to spell out a word/phone number/anything else you may want to write, like “ripe banana”. It is suggested that you create a new playlist on your iPod with all of these letter/number files on it for easier access. Note: Your iPod must have POTG function to use these files to create “notes” iType is freeware. The idea came from PodType, another very similar, almost identical set of files. Unfortunately, PodType is no longer availible, and so I’ve created iType v1.0 to replace it.

No Frills DVD2iPod can be used as open source executables to convert unencrypted DVD media to iPod format.
I wrote No Frills DVD2iPod because I wanted a way to make iPod compatible video files from iDVD projects I had burned to DVD but for which I hadn’t saved any source files. I also wanted a way to do it without having to configure many settings.
Advantages of No Frills DVD2iPod
Drop a handful of unencrypted .VOB or .mpg files and/or folders containing unencrypted .VOB files or .mpg files (such as a VIDEO_TS folder on a DVD you made with iDVD), and all of them will be converted.
You can drag the source files/folders even from an non-writable directory such as a mounted DVD volume.
