MPlayer OSX Extended… This is an unofficial extended version of the MPlayer OSX GUI.
While MPlayer is the superior media player for OSX and has a very nice GUI, it was lacking in access to the many powerful functions the backend provides and development hasn’t been very fast. Since I had some time on my hands I decided to learn Cocoa and improve the MPlayer OSX GUI.
In the process, I also figured out how to compile a redistributable version of the mplayer core and provide a recent build from the SVN.
Changes to the GUI include:

• More video filter options (Postprocessing, Deinterlace etc)
• Support for styled ASS subtitles
• Audio and video equalizers (not yet interactive)
• Taking Screenshots
• Stream selection
• Various interface improvements

DropCopy uses Apple’s Bonjour technology to help you to easily and quickly share files and folders between multiple Macs across your LAN. You simply drag your files in the Finder to a drop-zone containing a list of destinations (see screenshot) and drop it on the destination of your choice. This list conveniently dissapears when one is not dragging things over it. Also supports clipboard sharing and short text messages. DropCopy is free for individual users (up to 3 machines on a network) and has a suggested shareware price of $25 for a full site license. Also works great with DropCopy mobile to transfer files to and from your iPhone.

Fernsehen gives you easy access to the german TV program provided by TVToday. See what’s currently on, look for upcoming shows, search for movies starring your favourite actor or read a short description about a movie you’re not yet sure to watch. And since the widget caches all the data, you can even do this offline.
But there is more. Simply click the alarm clock icon next to a show and you’ll be reminded shortly before it begins; if you wish, you can have your alerts delivered by Growl. Switch the channel of your Elgato EyeTV, Formac`s Watchandgo, Equinux’ TheTube or Zattoo, or program it to record a desired show with one click.
There are lots of preferences. Group the channels as you like or create filters and the widget will remind you automagically of your favourite shows. Change the size of the widget and accomodate the fontsize, or click the titlebar to collapse the whole widget (Try holding [shift] while you do that…).
