FireStarter FX is a cool new application for making backups of your CDs and DVDs and burn them back to another media.
It’s also a very easy way of burning disc images from the PC world: It handles perfectly well cue/bin files, which are so common on Windows, and which were very hard to burn with other tools.
FireStarter FX is not a tool to back up DVD-Videos, nor a transcoding tool to encode your videos in other formats such as MPEG4, MPEG2, MPEG1 or DivX

Editra is a multi-platform text editor with an implementation that focuses on creating an easy to use interface and features that aid in code development. Currently it supports syntax highlighting and variety of other useful features for over 30 programing languages. Editra is freely available under the terms of the GPL. Currently the project is in alpha development phase but test builds of “stable” points are available for download and trial as Windows and Mac OSX(Universal) binaries, currently other Unix and Linux based systems will have to install from source using the included setup script. D&D Manager is an application for keeping track of D&D characters, spells and their related properties including weapons, skills and feats. Also allows quick character creation and the creation of template characters. You can also run battles between the characters with special ability support, spells, including casting of summoning and ability changing spells, and one, two and multiple weapon attacks. Characters can also have one of the built in, or custom character classes and spells can also now belong to them. More information is available on the features page of my website. FOONUT is a database created using Filemaker application. I made FOONUT to help me calculate the nutritional value from my meals on a daily basis. By closely calculating what I consumed, it helped me improve my health. I want others who are interested in calculating their meal consumption to try FOONUT. FOONUT starts with no information entered into the database; but, rather FOONUT allows you to design and build a system that is unique to your needs. FOONUT is not an advanced application that does everything for you; instead, you have to understand food and nutrition. You need to keep track of the type of food and how much you eat all the time. So please try FOONUT and let me know if you like using it. If anyone likes the idea of FOONUT and believes that it can be improved using more advanced programming, please let me know. I really think FOONUT is a great idea. It works for me and I can’t live without it now. This version of FOONUT in my first test to the general public. I am not sure what to expect as a response; whether I might get some feedback or none at all. I want to see if anyone else will embrace the benefit of a personal nutritional calculator that is as unique as the user. There is a restriction on the number of MEAL records. Sequential is a fullscreen image viewer for Mac OS X. It was specifically designed for opening a folder of images and displaying them in order. It works well for viewing comics and manga on the computer.
Sequential can display folders or archives (ZIP, RAR, CBZ and CBR) of images (including JPG, PNG, and GIF) in addition to PDF files.

Books stores, sorts, and searches a “virtual card catalog” for a personal library. Books makes it simple to enter new books, edit the information of older books, and sort the books by attributes such as title and author. Books also includes built-in searching for quick book information retrieval and XML support for importing and exporting collection information in HTML and XML. All original code written for the Books project is made available under the MIT License. The PDF and J2ME plugins use libraries licensed under the Apache license and the Sun Community Source Licence.

SyncTunes synchronises tracks and podcasts from iTunes with a mounted volume (e.g. such as a SD card in a card reader, a PDA’s expansion card using Missing Sync, or mobile phones’ internal memory).
Who might find SyncTunes useful? In short, many people with a Mac, iTunes and a PDA or phone with audio playback capability, or non-iPod music player. From user reports, SyncTunes transfers files that work with Palm PDAs, Sony PSP, Sony Ericsson K750/P910/W800i, Siemens SX1 (Symbian s60), Nokia E and N series, and no-brand MP3 player. It is probably compatible with other audio players too, except iPods and any audio player which has a special database file.
SyncTunes provides many options for customising where tracks will be copied to: the destination folder and the subfolder for playlist tracks [podcasts will always be place in the ‘podcasts’ subfolder unless they are part of the selected playlist]. You can also specify if the tracks should be stored in a single folder or in artist/album subfolders. Should your device support m3u playlists, SyncTunes will create them for you.
Your device doesn’t support the original file format, or you want to change the format settings? SyncTunes can convert the tracks while it copies them to the device/card.
Your device doesn’t like Mac OS X’s hidden files? SyncTunes will remove them from the folders it uses. For basic audio players, there is also a ‘Simple’ mode for quickly overriding destination folder settings and will copy just the playlist tracks to the device’s/card’s top-level folder (and convert formats if you want).
SyncTunes’s only requirements are that the memory of the device/card is mounted on the Mac’s desktop, and is writeable. Note: SyncTunes can copy tracks with any file format, even DRM protected formats, but it does not perform any DRM-removal on the files. For each file format transferred, you must have a player application that is capable of handling the format.
SyncTunes is freeware, but donations to Diabetes UK, diabetes.org.uk, are welcome as this will help my young son who has Type 1 diabetes.
